| Yeah, that's what I thought, too. Then someone told me about the
| keyboard shortcuts for superscripts and subscripts:
|
| Toggle in and out of subscript mode: Ctrl-= (hold down Ctrl key and
| equal sign key, then release)
| Toggle in and out of superscript mode: Ctrl-Shift-= (hold
| down Ctrl key,
| Shift key, and equal sign key, then release).
|
| So the sequence is Ctrl-Shift-=, 2, Ctrl-Shift-= to get a
| superscript 2. <snip>
I love it!
In the Word 2002 keyboard option setting window (Options - Customize -
Commands tab - Keyboard button - Format), in item *Superscript*, the
shortcut keys are given as "Ctrl++". Since"+" is "Shift+=", I suggest
"Ctrl++" is a handy way to remember that the shortcut keys to toggle
into and out of *superscript* mode are "Ctrl+Shift+=".
