Well, that's the thing. I don't have any of my references at hand, but I
think it's less ambiguous/confusing/jarring to the eye. Otherwise, if I had
to use that phrasing, I really would go with "0 calls or 1 call." Or are we
dealing with a space/number-of-characters problem?
