XML, FrameMaker, RoboHelp... they're all givens.
That's where your overseas competition will be. Sure,
great to know it, now what? You're still competing
with people who can work well with these technologies
and make a good living at 1/3 the rate you can.

In order to be successful and *ensure* you have a job
for years to come, you need to look above and beyond
the current scope of technical communication and look
to build your knowledge in business and industry
matters. Then you become a true problem-solver, and
not a word-smithing commodity that can be traded in
for a cheaper model at the drop of a hat.
