Earlier this week someone asked about colors and cultural meaning. I was just thumbing through "Human Factors for Technical Communicators" and noticed that Appendix A is about cross-cultural writing. It includes a fairly lengthy list on color and icon symbolism in various cultures as well as other helpful tips.
