Dan:

I didn't take it personally; it just sounded a bit
overblown to me. I wondered if the writer used to be
an engineer.

(Electronics hardware joke - You know how to tell an
engineer from a technician? The engineer produces a
design. The technician looks at it and says, "Wow,
that is a really beautiful, elegant design. What does
it do?" The engineer says, "Do?")

I know I'm a technical writer - I can learn any
computer system, software product, or technical
procedure well enough to explain it in great detail.
Sometimes in greater detail than the people who made
it imagined.

I can't resist.

It takes a long time for a man to become truly
knowledgeable in malpractice laws and/or insurance
laws. Will your opinion still hold if you look up from
the operating table and realize that for years he's
spent more time reading tort cases than the AMA
Journal?
:-)
