Hello Evid,
I'm on digest, so please excuse me if you've heard this already. The preview
screen and the browser will display things differently the more variables
you put in. The variables in this case would be you have a template and
external css. You may want to try your page without the template and inline
css to see if that helps narrow it down. that would indicate that the
browser cannot locate the style sheet when previewed. when you upload, does
everything appear correctly?
Under "Preferences" -> "Preview", is "use temp file" checked? If it is, see
what happens if you uncheck it and vice versa.
You may also have a higher level css rule which is overriding what you
*think* you told it to do. Inline styles will over ride external sheets;
check to make sure you aren't trying to tell it to do two different things!

If you need Dreamweaver help you can email me off list, as I'm not quite
sure this is on topic. (I'm new). Also, the Macromedia Dreamweaver forum has
many helpful people!

Good Luck! Let me know if you need anything.
