Goober, read the references that have been posted on this issue. The court DID
rule that it was a stupid act. It was determined that the woman was 20%
responsible for the accident and the amount awarded was reduced accordingly.

And how many times has coffee that you've made at home caused 3rd degree full
thickness burns to 6% of your body requiring long hospital stays, skin grafts
and various medical procedures? In the case of McDonald's, the count was over
700 people including children and infants.
It's the difference in the amount of care your user has to take and how they can
reasonably expect your product to behave. It is also how your product HAS
behaved or been used in the past and whether your company has taken
responsibility to correct known and preventable dangers.
