Re: Need GIMP, dunno how to compile
Sorry to clutter your mailboxes with my un-techie-ness. I want a copy of GIMP for my Mac (OSX, will run it in x-windows if necessary), and I've googled till I have carpal tunnel, and I can't find a pre-compiled binary, only source code and vague instructions on how to compile. I'm not a programmer, I don't know how to compile.
Gimp is available via Fink (fink.sourceforge.net). You need to install Fink and an X.11 implementaiton first, but that's rather doable, though takes a little time. (I did install and use Fink; I did not install Gimp.)
You can buy a CD with Gimp binaries from OpenOSX (www.openosx.com/products.html).
Hope this helps
