Subject:DLLs, XP and WinHelp 2000 popups. From:Erin Cullingham <ecullingham -at- linnet -dot- ca> To:"TECHWR-L (E-mail)" <TECHWR-L -at- LISTS -dot- RAYCOMM -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 13 Aug 2003 12:47:01 -0500
This is a complaint coming to me third-hand from a project manager who says
the client cannot get popups to work when she clicks on hotspots - both
textual and graphical. I am assuming that all other jumps are working fine.
The developer figures that a missing DLL might have something to do with it,
and I agree, since I tested it on our lone XP box here and it worked fine,
which indicates to me that the client's system is missing something. I am
unsure of what DLLs are required by Windows XP in order to properly run a
WinHelp 2000 Help file. I know that 98 and 2000 need only the RoboEx32.dll
and that Windows NT and 95 need the RoboEx32 and two others that should
already exist on the operating system.
Does anyone have a list of the required DLLs for XP?
and/or
Does anyone have any other ideas as to why this is happening?
