People skills. Work it out between yourselves. You
share a working space, and though you have your
preferences as to how you work, you need to negotiate
a happy medium. Co-worker likes loud music? Ask
him/her to use headphones. You like lots of light and
he/she doesn't? Use desk lamps and not the overhead.
If this seems like too much to deal with, try
staggering your hours so your office mate gets "loud
time" alone and you get "bright time" alone.
