Regarding spell checking documents containing source code:

FrameMaker allows you to associate a language with each paragraph style.
If you use a designated paragraph style (or multiple styles if necessary)
for your source code listings and set the language for that style (or
styles) to "none", then FrameMaker will not spell check paragraphs tagged
with that style.
