I actually ran down to the company library and read the font persona
article. Ok--so I skimmed through it. I don't know if its because the
world of academia is out of touch with the business world, or if its
because I'm not academic enough, but I found the article more disturbing
than funny. The author was actually trying to gather **empirical
evidence** about the how people **feel** about fonts. What relevance does
that have to advancing the field of TW? That is like The Journal of the
American Medical Association publishing an article on whether its better
for a pediatrician to wear clothing with Loony Toon characters or Disney
characters.

Good grief. I've had my techwhirl account set to nomail for a few weeks
while I caught up on a few projects. So what's the first thing I do when I
get back? I rant.
