Brings to mind that line from Star Trek.

"I am Locutus, a Borg. Resistance is futile. You will be
assimilated."

On a more serious note, it wasn't that long that the "Harrow
Technology Report" did a feature on where our technology will be
in 20 years time. A world where we can even have thoughts and
emotions piped directly into our brains. But a world with a much
wider gap between the rich and the poor, because it will be the
haves that can afford the toys.

Then Cloneaid and the Raelians have been tossing out some
interesting ideas too. A world in which heavy industry and
agriculture as we know it will become a thing of the past.

But whatever the future holds, the world is going to need people
like us to write instructions.
