Another terminology question

In the web-based application that I am documenting, we have several modules
w/ their own identifying names. One of these modules is a report generator.
This module term is used on some of the menu options in the application, but
when you actually get into the module, the option to generate the report is
labeled "Run Report". So, when I am writing to this module, I have a hung
jury of SMEs - half the SMEs want Generating a Report as the module title,
the other half wants Running a Report. I am leaning towards generating a
report since "run a report" sounds a little like a cliche or "jargony" but
just to cover all bases, I also thought that I would put in a
cross-reference in my index that says "Running a report" - see "Generating",
but. . . 

Thoughts at all on this?
