My situation is similar...but different in that the non-writer is a Documentation Specialist. They (management) recently had him taking on new writing projects. He did this for about five months, and is now working in Technology-Based-Training (TBT). I have re-inherited his manuals. All are totally hosed (double periods, misspelled words, graphics too big). I pointed it out to management and was met with a shrug.
Guess that's normal from a place that also uses clerks to write manuals. It does present a challenge just to come to work everyday.
