Although, it suggests an additional functionality above
the standard issue, to anybody who uses (say) browsers or
word processors or... or...
This shim-that's-not-a-shim just makes the standard
functionality available on a couple of systems where it
would not otherwise work. Er... I mean... that's what
they tell me, over at that ... um... other company. Yeah.
