By this logic I should have the right to slap any smoker I see. After all the slap I dole out will have far less harmful affects on the smoker than their ETS has on me.

Is it because the slap is a sharp, short-lived event that makes it assualt?
Yet causing the gradual build-up of poisons in non-smokers forced to be in your proximity, causing negative long-term health problems, is a right?

I don't deny anyone anything. If you want to paint your a$$ red and wear a vasoline suit, that's your business. Just don't go trying to put red paint or vasoline on me.
