I did pay attention, and I'm sure that many other members of this list have done so as well. I strongly concur with what you have written. I believe that personal attacks have absolutely no place in a discussion group of this type--or anyplace else, for that matter. This type of exchange is a waste of time, storage space, and bandwidth for everyone.

Don't be too quick to judge another person unless you've walked in their shoes. Because everyone's life is unique, that's an impossible task anyhow.
