RE: Maximum File Size For Word Documents
If all you do is create ASCII readme files, Word is a sledgehammer and not
needed. The trick is to know what size hammer you need. I create
documentation that is too complex for Word. For what I do, Word isn't "bad"
and it's not "good". It's simply not "right".
You've made a very good point here. In most business offices, people are using Word for everything. As a word processor, it's fine. As a publishing tool, it stinks. As professionals, we should have a wide variety of tools available to us and use the proper one for the job.
