TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
They are a vertical B2B portal. All they have is a catalog with
a search feature (and presumably a shopping cart). I'd agree you
don't need online help for that. They probably figured their
target market already knows how to do online shopping.
That said, their search page has some help and examples right on
the page. And they have an extensive glossary. Maybe they don't
have a three-pane pop-up help file, but I don't think they need
it.
