I don't know about that, but looking at the original notebooks from Finnegan's Wake would make me want to drink. Heavily. (The original notebooks are located two buildings down if I ever get the urge. See http://ublib.buffalo.edu/libraries/units/pl/collections/joyce/index.html for an image of what appears to be Joyce's own version of Microsoft's Track Changes. Oy. No wonder it makes no sense. ) And no, I'm not a Joyce fan.
