I read the article, and frankly, from what I've observed, parents tend to install car seats incorrectly because they can't be bothered with reading the installation instructions. These are the same parents who hang their infant carriers on the back of the fold-out child seat in the grocery cart and never connect the other slot in the carrier to the cart handle. Then they wonder why the infant carrier seems to be balancing so precariously on the grocery cart!

I'm sure there are a lot of cases where people simply can't understand the car seat and infant carrier user guides, but will simplifying the language make much difference to the parents who just have no interest in reading the guides?
