Oh yeah, I definitely had an 800 lb gorilla (the Director of Software
Development), saying "Dude, she's your peer, and dude, she gets input."
I prefer to just approach the developer with professional respect and
get the same in return, but hey, if someone's just beggin' to be smacked
upside the head (in a virtual sense), sometimes you have to oblige them!

Lisa...I solved THAT problem by including the company CTO (800 pound
gorilla who assigned me to this assignment) in the CC line of the third
request email that I sent to the developer who was particularly
uncooperative.

Sometimes ya get to discuss animation movies and sometimes you get to
have virtual batting practice on the developer's head. They both
work...just a matter of knowing your audience.
