There are just too many legal issues you want to avoid during interviewing.
I would never accuse a candidate of lying for those reasons. In fact, I try
to never give the candidate any indication of how well (or poorly) they are
doing during or after the interview. The "going postal" argument is a good
one also. As an employer, I have no ethical obligation to reform a person
who would lie in an interview. It would be a silent bridge burned with me.
