The last New Year's resolution I made was back in 1986. I resolved not to make any more New Year's resolutions, and I have yet to break it.

That said, I do need to find a bit better balance in life between work, professional activities, hobbies and interests, and good old fashioned downtime.

I think I'm off to a good start. Just before Christmas I treated myself to an Edmonton Oilers hockey game (my first ever), and had the pleasure of watching them clobber the Carolina Hurricanes.

Now I need to continue this trend in 2003.

Next step? Well, last weekend I saw a really nice couch in a furniture store that methinks would look really good in my living room.
