I've worked in offices that had an official "house font" -- that was
what was used for all communication with the outside world.

But where I work now, I selected the font I use in my manuals (Akzidenz
Grotesk BE) because it's versatile, attractive, and clean-looking. I
found it when going through a type collection I was given.

No one else cares too much what font I use, so I made the selection, set
up my templates, and am done with my font-fondling.
