The are free and shareware fonts available on the Internet. Frequently you can find a "clone" of a licensed font being offered as shareware for a fraction of the cost of the original font. I once needed a copy of Frutiger for a special purpose at work but found Frobisher font as a shareware alternative. The fonts were so similar it was difficult to tell them apart. Frobisher cost $12 to license. Frutiger would have cost $129 for a license.

I had problems with fonts being intermittently unavailable on my Windows
system (based on my current printer), and yall said that I need to install
the fonts on my computer rather than relying on the printer to carry them.
Where do I get the fonts? Do they come on a FrameMaker disk? Acrobat disk?
I don't have the installation CDs, so I can't browse them (our IT group
keeps all install CDs).

Many thanks,
Lindsey
