Tech writing and "working at home" sites

After being laid-off twice this year, I'm giving some
thought to doing some work from home.

Has anyone on this list ever signed up for one of
those "Careers from Home" websites?  I've noticed that
Monster is advertising many jobs through these sites,
such as TW, Web Developer, and so on.

If anyone has some input regarding these sites, I'd be
interested to know your thoughts.
