There seems to be disagreement about what "mega" means--some say
1,000,000, some say 1,048,576.

It should be noted that there is confusion only regarding amounts of computer memory and data transmission rates (which are amounts of memory divided by time).

In all other areas, "mega" always means 1,000,000, even in computer-related units such as MHz.
