Thanks for all your responses. All the range was helpful (from "why would you need that", through theory, to actual advice). For those who asked me to elaborate a bit: this is a task we routinely perform without any difficulties - capture Unix screens and print them from Word - but this time we had to print them from QuarkXpress. The solution we chose at the end is running the Unix app from a PC window and capturing the screens with our familiar PC tool. Apparently the problem was Quark's preference for some graphic formats (such as .jpg) over others (we tried .bmp).
Again, thanks for all your answers.

============================
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a moderately priced app for capturing Unix screens? We need 300-dpi captures, not provided by most sharware and Unix utilities.
TIA

Erika
