once you insert a table into a word document how can
you adjust the spacing after the table insert?

nothing has worked so far

tried the before and after spacing in the paragraph
spacing and index. - doesnt work

tried looking in the table properties. - doesnt work

Word (unlike FrameMaker) doesn't have the ability to do that directly. Back when I was working with financial statements in Word, we had a "space after table" paragraph style that inserted just the right amount of space. We'd manually set the last paragraph in the table to have "keep with next" attribute, to make sure that the spacer stayed with the table. Which is one of the many reasons that Word really ought to have a "keep with previous" attribute.
