Yeah, who needs to think about accuracy and value when there are all those fonts
and styles to play with in FrameMaker.

I think the attitude expressed in the original quote is clear: consistency is
more important than content.

This aligns with my experiences. A lot of writers are more interested in
superficial, look & feel issues and have virtually no regard for the value or
accuracy of the information they're presThisng. THis is readily apparent when you
read the technical manuals out there. Most of them are very attractive,
consistent, and utterly devoid of useful content.

The idea that these writers have somehow "ascended past" worrying about accuracy
is laughable. Quite the opposite is the case. Many writers have yet to ascend to
the point where they even understand the material they're documenting.
