Steve, I've seen a few openings for tech writers in the Boston area lately. I am not sure if this is a change in the economy. I am on an alumni mailing list that includes (often unadvertised) job postings in the Boston area.

Two years ago, we were getting weekly postings on this alumni list for open jobs.
Last year, I don't think we got more than 2 postings.
This year, I have seen a handful (half a dozen) postings.

So, anecdotal evidence suggests that the economy for tech writers in teh Boston area is slowly improving, but nowhere near where it was.

Hi all,
I'm wondering if people are starting to see a slight upturn in the job
'market'. I'm in a startup now but word is I may be let go soon. I know
the Boston-area is especially hard hit, but is anyone seeing even a
modicum of improvement?

Thanks,
Steve
