What this thread points out is how...er...difficult this feature is to use
in FM. You are defining a style. You define font face, spread, kerning,
stroke, and so on. You define paragraph attributes. You even define
graphical elements (bullets, numbers, lines above & below)....yet you you
have to stop your process, fumble for a little-used feature, define some
color, then close the color creation tool (and stop that process), then go
back to where you were. All in all, it's understandable why someone would
get confused--especially when the Fonts tab allows you to select a color
to apply to the style, yet why doesn't it allow you to define a new color
from THIS dialog box!? ack!
Sorry for the rant, but, I mean, puh-lease, Adobe! Just...make...it...so.
Color definition should be where the user needs to use it, not where the
software engineer wants it to be.
