I'm based in Belgium so this probably doesn't apply to most on the list.
The euro currency kicked in last January. 15 countries sharing the same
currency. Although the bank notes are identical, the coins have the national
identies on one face. Lots of us now collect the coins from all the
countries. I've found that many of the SMEs in our Dutch plant in my company
do so too (most of my work is for this factory). I get their attention by
swapping Irish and Luxembourg coins for whatever they have (got all the
Dutch coins). These are small countries in a large pool of much larger
countries so harder to get the coins. Never thought I'd be bribing Dutch
engineers with Irish coins.
Anyone out here got Finish euro coins to swop? I'd love to get hold of them.
Then I'd have ALL the SMEs queuing up to help me.
