I'm at the stage of my documentation where I'm cross-checking data between
sections to make sure everything is updated. I then check the values back to
the application.

One of the sections in my document has to do with error alert numbers and
based on a specific parameter, the developers are supposed to use a number
within a specific range.

This morning I sorted the table that I use to document these alert numbers
and discovered that about 20 of several hundred alerts are using the wrong
value range. So, I listed the ones that were wrong in an email and sent t to
the developer's list asking them to verify what I had.

The comment from one of the SMEs..."Well, YEAH, they're wrong. I was busy
that day, so I copied what I used for another range and expected John to
catch it and fix it."

Unfortunately, she now has to go back to her code, make the changes, and
retest...about a day's work.
