Here is how I approach that kind of montrosity:

1. Print a hard copy of the original Word doc. You'll need it.

2. In the Word doc, use search replace--repeated as necessary--to replace two paragraphs (^p^P) with one (^p). Also use it to replace two spaces with one. Keep doing it until there are none left.

3. Select All and click the Bullet button a couple of times until all bullets disappear from the document. Do the same thing with the Numbered List button. This may or may not get rid of manually typed numbers (Word is hinky about this). Scroll through and manually delete any remaining paragraph numbers.

4. Select All, Copy, then open a new document and Edit > Paste Special > Unformatted Text.

5. Use the new, unformatted text, document to paste into Frame.

6. With the hardcopy in front of you, go through the document and apply styles as needed.
