"ALDIS" is an aeronautical term used for responding to the tower when the landing gear is up or down. He/she may respond "Aldis!" as in "all this completed" OR "ALDIS for nuttin...shhkt...ROGER"
Sometimes pilots also use "NOTDIS" as in if a plane were approaching from the left or right while at 35,000 feet. The pilot might respond to the tower "Oh....NOTDIS..."
In some european countries, pilots radio to the tower when the landing gear actually falls off and say "WERDIS" as in "where the hell is my landing gear"...."WHEREDIS ... ROGER!"
Other terms that are used:
DUCK - Plane within 50 metres of airspace
WINGDIS - No hands on controls while landing "Tower, we're gonna WINGDIS"
