Well everyone, I received the solution to my problem. It wasn't even a
real problem in the true sense of the word! A kind list member recommended
that I check the List: setting in the Format|Styles function box.
I did so, and found that the setting was changed to view Styles in Use
instead of All Styles. As soon as I changed that setting, I "found" all
the styles in the template.

Thanks to everyone who answered my pathetic plea for help. Your kindness
made my day!
