You're right, Bruce. I didn't intend to get sidetracked into Andrew bashing (although it is fun).

My post was meant to explain on the fact that technical writing requires a unique training focus.

Demands for *only* technical knowledge (Andrew), *only* tools knowledge, or *only* writing ability are all one-sided demands. Each demander should wake up and realize that all three are *necessary* to make the writer marketable.

My apologies to the list and Andrew in particular for any descent into "bashing."
