Jason concedes that an objectives section in a resume
helps separate it from others if a company has many
openings.

The head of a Dallas outplacement firm with 20 years'
experience also is of the pronounced opinion that
"objectives" are meaningless.

He suggests always to put a title in bold print of the
position you're applying for. Thus, under your name
and address stuff, centered on the page, might be

"Technical and Marketing Writer"

...which is on mine.

David
