Matthew,

It's not just TWs who spend too much time debating
resumes. Take a look at some of the message boards on
Monster.com and you'll see a lot of discussion about
resume content and format.

The bottom line: There are no requirements or
prohibitions with regard to content, and there's no
single, definitive format.

As Bart Simpson said when faced with a profound
philosophical dilemma, "Damned if you, damned if you
don't." Unfortunately, most of us can't internalize
that!

Maybe it's time for a Federal law and/or a nationally
accepted XML DTD for resumes!
