I was thinking from the perspective of writing IT related documentation; SLC
stuff. If the perspective is medical journals, research papers, NDAs, etc.,
then you are more correct than I.

Many employers are asking for advanced degrees in the life sciences. I have
seen more of that than the terms you mention, but I am also including
editing jobs here, so perhaps my take on it is a bit different.
