I still remember when...

If you recall, or care to look, yesterday I asked how to export all the
images within my document to a file. A couple of you fine folks posted the
answer, it worked like a charm, and I appreciate it very much.

Anyhow, so I set about removing all the embedded digital images within my
document, and this morning, I began "Linking to the Object" by performing
the following...

Insert>Object>Create From File(link to file = yes)> Filename.gif

Yes, that works...however, (pause for effect) this doesn't seem to keep my
file size down.

I realize that a major advantage of linking is so that when I edit my source
image it automatically updates, but should it not keep the file size down
too<qm> (My question mark key is still out of order).

So what's the deal...am I an idiot or what<qm>

ciao'
