Dick,
After replying to elizabeth and then reading your reply, It looks like I
missed any turf war issues. I think it really is just an admin that doesn't
see a big picture. Personally, I am tired of fighting every fight that
could get my staff or myself in deeper than we already are. This doesn't
seem to be a fight worth fighting.

But you could be right that it is really a turf war, in which case, delay is
always a good tactic. Elevation may not be good. If you don't know how the
cards are stacked going upwards, you don't want to get to close to the
issues. Instead, I still see a risk analysis being a good step. It keeps
your hands clean and it puts the bar back to a professional level.

Admins should understand risk management.
