Subject:RE: another word for steps From:Sean Hower <hokumhome -at- freehomepage -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Mon, 26 Aug 2002 12:07:46 -0700 (PDT)
Based on some of the replies, I'm sensing some confusion....hehehe.
Let me further demonstrate with an example:
"DINING OUT GUIDE"
GETTING TO THE RESTARAUNT
Step 1. Picking a Place
1.
2.
Step 2. Finding the Address
1.
2.
Step 3. Going to Restaraunt
1.
2.
DINING
Step 4. Getting Seats
1.
2.
Step 5. Ordering
1.
2.
Step 6. Talking Small
1.
2.
on so on....
I was hoping for another word that implies an action as one part of an ordered set, like step. The best suggestion so far, funny enough, was action. But that doesn't have the sense of being a single part within a larger scheme. Anything else?
"Whatever you do, do NOT let your editorial decisions be made by the squiggly spell-checking lines in Word!" ~Keith Cronin, Techwr-l irritant ;-)
