And don't get me started on the whole issue of names.
I think the last names used as first names syndrome is gaining (Madison
White, e.g.) .. and possibly causing rampant confusion, especially
juxtaposed with those people who have two first names (David Thomas). Just
as The Onion reported Clinton wanted to send vowels to Croatia, I thing we
should wage a campaign for proper, traditional, you-know-where-you-stand
names. In Germany, unusual names have to be approved by a national naming
commission!

Interesting, but not true. The officer at the birth registration office (in the local town hall) decides if a name can be accepted or not. Never heard of a national commission.
