But in any case, don't you think its valuable to hear what executives feel about
this issue? Or is TECHWR-L now to become an executive-opinion restricted zone?

Incidentally, I am not the CEO of my company. The CEO is my father.

Who said that? And on what executive rule book is that written. Most executives
have a philosophy of "this needs to be done, get the resources to do it best."
And part of that is meeting financial goals as well. Employees are not just hired
to sit around and jaw wag. They're hired to fill a need. And if they are not
filling that need, they need to go. Positions in a company must be budgeted. And
sometimes the budget isn't there to hire more people. But the need is.

So, how do you solve that dilemma? You need to get X amount of work done, but you
don't have the budget to hire more people. And your employees are complaining
that X can't be done in the time alloted?
