re: Managing Images and Captions in Word 97
I just came across two articles in the July 1997 issue
of PC Computing which cover creating complex documents
filled with graphics in Word 97.

Effortlessly Manage Images in Word 97 (page A16)
Summary "This project add a way to track image files separately
from your documents" using Excel spreadsheets.
<snip>
PC Computing has the two projects on the Web at
www.officecomputing.com in the file GOFIG01.ZIP

The URL Richard provided now appears to be defunct. Anyone have any ideas about how I might get my hands on the article?
I just called the central library of my county public library system. For $0.50 plus 10 cents per page, they will photocopy the article for me and send it to a branch library 4 blocks from my house. I'll get it by the middle of next week. Of course, if I were willing to drive down there, I could save the $0.50. And if I were really in a hurry, they were willing to fax it to me tonight, in spite of the fact that I called 2 minutes before closing time. (Yes, somebody answered the phone anyway. I love these people.).
