Not to make any analogy or anything, but I am reminded of
a line from the movie "The Alamo." It's Jim Bowie's reply
to Davy Crockett about Col Travis's canon-shot response to
the Mexican demand to surrender the fort:
"I hate ta say anything NICE about that long-winded
jack-o'-napes, but he DOES know the shortcut to start
a war."
